Airport Con-X-ion Gold Coast

We caught the Con-x-ion shuttle at the Gold Coast on the 29th August 2010 to Harbour Town and also on the 27th to Sea World.

The trip to Sea World was problem-free, picked-up on time (9:05am to be exact) etc. Although while waiting at Sea World to get taken back to the hotel the bus was half an hour late. Considering we got there 15 minutes early to be picked up so we didn't miss the bus, we were waiting about 45mins. Which is terrible after a long day at the theme park. I wouldn't have minded so much if we were given an apology but we didn't get an explanation, or an apology.

I let it go though and hoped our next trip with Con-x-ion would be a little better.

We were wrong! On the 29th August we got picked up at 11:00am to head to Harbour Town. We had the same driver from the Sea World trip. We got to another hotel and waited a few minutes for other passengers to come onboard but they were a couple minutes late. When the passengers finally came on the bus (a mother and young son probably 12 yrs old) , the driver, in a very, VERY rude tone of voice started shouting and telling them off at being a few minutes late. He said comments like "I'm talking to a brick wall arnt I?!!!' and other rude things. The poor woman and son were telling the driver that they don't speak much English and they are sorry. But that didn't phase the driver.

I was appalled at how these two foreign tourists, who only spoke a little english, were being yelled at infront of the entire group of passengers.

It was terrible! I couldn't believe how moody and mean this driver was! And to have him drive us on 2 separate days and be rude on both occasions! He should not be employed by con-x-ion. Simple as that. He obviously hates his job and takes it out on the passengers. Because of this, I will never use Con-x-ion again. Ever.

I can't say the bus was very clean. but there wasn't much rubbish etc. The fact they pick you up from your hotel is good, but there are many other shuttle companies that do the same. Overall a BAD experience. Use a different company. There are plenty others that offer the same service for the same price or cheaper. And without that horrible driver! (Date of experience: Aug, 2010 )
