Ansonia on Lydiard

We had stayed at this place 4 years ago and were looking forward to a good experience!! It had been a magnificent restoration of an old bank. We were greeted rudely by the receptionist and taken to our room which was small and had a smell about it. When I told the R about this she sneered at us and said "what kind of smell?" We asked for another room and were ushered into what looked like a poor hotel room in some outback town. It is advertised as a serviced apartment but it was simply a very plain motel room. Not even a picture on the wall. There were marks on the doona and even cigarette butts outside the room. We realised we probably had to stay as we had booked ahead. We cancelled the 2nd night though. Very disappointing and expensive!!
