I researched the internet to find a really nice place to take guests from Interstate to. The views were fantastic, the service was good, food was enjoyable - its a little expensive (you have to accept to get a good view you have to pay the price).
Unfortunately, very soon after arriving so did a table of six which included two children, who from the very start, screamed, screeched, banged cutlery on the table - all totally ignored by the parents and grandparents. After this went on for some time, we complained to two different staff members - but neither said anything to the parents. Again we complained when we paid the bill as the behaviour did not stop the whole time they were there. We were told yes they were really noisy - no apology. This is not a fast food place where you would expect this sort of behaviour - this is a restaurant that you end up paying $60.00 a head. It ruined the whole night as one of our guests has to wear a hearing aid and had to turn it off due to the volume with the screaming - conversation was barely possible for the night.
We phoned the Manager the next night about this and were told that he can't control his guests, it is up to the parents. Whilst he apologised he wouldn't accept that it was the establishment's responsibility to ensure that the bad behaviour of these children didn't impact on his other guests who should be allowed to enjoy an evening out.
Guests should be aware that should they be unfortunate to encounter what we did - it seems that management will not do anything.
