Hollyhock Cottage

Hollyhock Cottage is a gem. We stayed at many self contained cottages during our three week sojourn in Tasmania and Hollyhock was clearly the best. While it has a AAA 4 star rating, it still managed to exceed expectations. Extremely well presented with attention to detail a stand-out feature. Relaxing, well maintained private rear garden with plenty of places to sit and soak up the evening sun. I have to say the bed was terrific for a good nights sleep. Richmond is a small village that will take a couple of hours to explore - plenty of history that is hard to find on the mainland. Richmond is also a good spot to stay for a few days and use as a base camp. We did day trips to Freycinet and Port Arthur. Hobart is a short drive, it took us about 25 minutes to get to the Salamanca markets on a Saturday morning. I would thoroughly recommend Hollyhock for those who like the self contained cottage experience.
