Heading Bush 4WD Adventures

I was due to tour with Heading Bush to Adelaide via Cooberpedy! On the morning of pick up I was waiting at my hostel at 6.30 and at 6.45 decided to call to see where the tour guide was. I was told he had already left and would not turn back to get me!
I then had to make my own way to Cooberpedy. arriving late and being put into a underground bunker all by myself. I have no idea where my tour group was and why I could not rejoin? There was not a person in sight at this underground hostel which was creepy for a female by herself to stay in! It was the worst experience ever! I travel with tours in order to meet people and explore the destination. This tour ended up causing me distress and expense! I lost one nights accommodation at the hostel in Adelaide because of the delay of the bus times, I had to pay for my own breakfast that was supposed to be included, plus I had to use my UK sim card to get tickets for the bus to Adelaide which ended up costing me a fortune in roaming charges, I had to use the internet and pay for printing. Since my awful experience I have written several complaints to Heading Bush but they have not even acknowledged any of them. I think their total disrespect is disgusting. Would I be treated differently if I wasn't a backpacker??!
Overall I would not recommend Heading Bush AT ALL!! I've since toured twice with Groovy Grape and they are wonderful! I wonder too if Backpacker World Travel with whom I booked the tour through will pull their finger out to help me as they too have been copied in. I have had a reply from BWT to say they hope Heading Bush do offer me compensation so lets hope they help me get a response from Heading Bush finally so I can put the terrible few days behind me!
