A lovely, if somewhat basic course. It has no bunkers and few real water hazards but there's still plenty of ways to get into trouble. The course steadily climbs a hill from the first to 6th, with the seventh hole being off the side of what looks like an old quarry. This 130 odd metre Par 3 is the talking point of the course as the hole is maybe 100 metres below the tee. Good fun and devilishly hard to judge in a breeze!
The 11th provides the one water challenge with a strangely magnetic pond to the right that seems to have some secret linkage to the Bermuda Triangle! This brings you back up to the club house often using a nice shiny new ball!
From there the course wanders through a classic Australian bushland setting featuring the long 13th and 15th holes where you could picture a few thousand sheep coming through the picturesque gum trees any moment.
A nice place to play with a surprisingly well stocked pro-shop and friendly people. Start out early in summer as it can get pretty hot on course of course. This IS South Australia after all. (Date of experience: Dec, 2011 )
