Highland Valley Retreat and Day Spa

We stayed at Highland Valley Retreat and Day Spa November 1st 2008. What an amazing place! We drove up the driveway that was covered in magnificent flowers and towering trees that shaded the entire driveway. We parked in the driveway where we were surrounded by the old style roses that you can actually smell the perfume. We were greeted by the hosts Corinne and Oren who showed us to our rooms. These rooms have been renovated with taste and features jarrah that goes very well with the 100 year old homestead. After putting our robes and slippers on we had a consultation with the Spa manager Corinne and were then ushered outside where we were met with a magnificent view. Then a short walk to the spa house that overlooks the valley, WOW.. and there we hopped into the Natural Spring Water hot spa. They left us there for a few minutes then came back with a bottle of champagne which was the icing on the whole spa experience. There were six of us girls who were already starting to relax and decided there and then this was THE place to be. After about an hour the manager came up to get two of us who decided on the Signature treatment and a Coconut Wrap. After the treatment which was divine, I had the Signature treatment which was a back massage and reflexology. This was for only 45 minutes but it was sooo relaxing. My only problem with this is - I want more!!!! After the treatment we were sent to chill out with a green tea or peppermint tea. After all the girls had their treatments we, by this stage were so relaxed and felt like we had been here for a few days not just a day. Dinner that night was delightful, Fresh home ingredients in a salad with Mount Barker Roasted Chicken with crispy potatoes. Very yummy. The whole experience was incredible and we will be back.
