The website lists numerous animals and farm activities to be experienced. Maybe if you stay all year. On our visit we saw some pigs and cows, but there wasn't that much for kids to do or see other than wander around the farm sheds (although they seemed happy enough patting the dog). The farm is on a pretty spot by the river, somewhat over priced for a night in a fibro shack on a farm.
I guess it got off to a bad start when, after booking and asking for sheets and being told it was $20 extra. The shack itself was clean, but fairly run down. Mattress + pillows + comforters very old and worn (only mattress to give me a bad back all trip). No dark curtains in main bedroom, so you will wake with the sunrise.
The family was friendly and happy to discuss farm workings, and I guess if we had been there longer maybe we would have got more involved / seen more. However, at $150 a night I definitely felt poor value (at $75 I wouldn't have worried - this is still more than what local motels are charging).
