Shark Bay Caravan Park

We stayed at this caravan park for 4 days and it put a sour note on what was otherwise a lovely holiday. The owners of this park seriously have never heard of customer service. Unfortunately it is like shooting fish in a barrel. Because there are only 3 parks to choose from they know that they don't have to bother and people will stay regardless. On a positive note the pool area looks very nice and inviting, but left my kids crying as the the strength of the chlorine burnt their skin. Then there was the noise. We were located next to a large shed that the owners use and unlucky for us they were building a motorcross trailer which meant we were subjected to grinding and welding noises all day from 0830 to 1830 (and yes this included the weekend). When my husband went to complain about the noise the owner said she couldn't ask her sons to stop and that they lived there, so tough. Then there was the lack of soap to wash your hands in the toilets and paper towels. Not to mention the so called camp kitchen which consisted of a BBQ which had a distinct lean and 2 gas ring burners that were located in the open with only a bit of shade cloth to cover. I guess you had to bring an umberella if it was raining. Oh there was a microwave and a fridge loated in the laundry? (don't ask me why) (Date of experience: Aug, 2011 )
