Over priced budget accommodation

My partner I stayed here April 09. We were charged $135 which included a $20 1 night fee-probably because you would never stay an extra night! Our room was not much larger than the bed. The room had a bad smell. The 2 wine glasses were greasy. The walls are so thin you can hear the people having a chat in the room next door - and snoring all night too! The bedside light didn't work. Paint was peeling off the ceiling. If it wasn't late on a Saturday that we booked in, we wouldn't have stayed at all.

Our tariff for a queen room is $115 per night which includes organic tea and plunger coffee in the room which although not a large room is comfortable for most people. There was obviously a misunderstanding via the Booking agent as to the style of accommodation requested. As our rooms have recently been redecorated we represent good value for money in the market in Denmark for a convenient village location with the room also having direct access to the verandah which has sitting area for each room. We also have a dedicated sitting room separate from the bedrooms so that guests do not have to feel confined to their rooms. A dining room located within the guesthouse can also provide a river view and a breakfast area. Our building was built in 1940 and many guests have commented on how much they enjoy the atmosphere of the guest house. When visitors are directed to inappropriate accommodation by a booking agent problems arise. PS the wine glasses were replaced immediately.
