Rooms are clean but cluttered with two beds. Any movement in the hallway can be heard clearly.
Notwithstanding the hotels website description, in no way are these rooms apartments. The kitchenette comprises of a sink, a bar fridge and a microwave. A hotplate was specified on the website but there was none in the room and my questions to reception just drew blank looks.
The location is very good if you want to stay on the east side near the theatres and Chinatown. The city circle tram is only a short walk away near Parliament House and the number 96 tram (runs from Brunswick to St Kilda via Burke St) is the next street across.
Staff were pretty friendly.
Overall, not bad but let down by very dated room interior and the ridiculous attempt to label the rooms as apartments!
