Above Darling Harbour

Regarding Above Darling Harbour Pyrmont Street. I did stay for 15 days. The locality is great but the apartments are appalling. The site stipulates that this place is 4-5 stars. Not so! The stall showers overflow, flooding the bathroom floors and overrunning into the living quarters. The carpets are completely damaged from the water creating a mildew smell. Appliances were broken; there is a problem with the gas range; not all the electricity worked; burned out ceiling lights were not replaced and so rooms were excessively dark in the evening; phones are advertised but I had to ask for one and then they did not release the phone number until three days after I was in. Then the phone did not work; the blinds were broken preventing privacy in the bedrooms. I have stayed in numerous self-serviced places and always there were supplies to keep it clean. Not so here. No matter how many times I asked for a vacuum cleaner along with sponges and cleaning cloths, I never got them. I would never recommend this place. I brought my whole family to Australia and rented two apartments - a two and three bedroom apartment. Our vacation was spoiled because of all the stress we experienced. We spent a good deal of money and based our decision to stay here from the beautiful photographs and descriptions.
