Great summer weekend getaway

What a wonderful place to stay. Very relaxing, good fishing in the lake & a short stroll to down to the river. A couple of good country pubs nearby if you don't feel like cooking inside or on your own BBQ on the back verandah. We will definitely be returning next year.

Getting ThereFurther inside the grounds, is a beautiful lake with a classic wooden bridge, gazebo and mini pier. A highlight is yabbying off the mini pier. Next to the lake is a BBQ / picnic area with plenty of room for playing sports on the manicured lawns. A tennis court and children's playground are also near by. Tennis racquets and balls are kept inside the communal laundry. A small woodshed enables guests to stock up for the cozy wood fire heaters inside the cottages. Established gardens on the property, (including 100yr old oak trees), provide a natural habitat for local birdlife such as colourful parrots, cockatoos, rosellas, magpies, kookaburras, ducks, etc. Kangaroos, wallabies, rabbits and wombats are also abundant.
