If you're looking to be away from the crowds but you want the comforts of home, this place is truly special. Great accommodation, right on the beach halfway down the island ocean side. Hosts are really friendly and helpful, great with kids and adults alike. Everything you need to experience the simple life (no tele, no electronic games) but without doing without the comforts of nice beds and v. clean and tidy house. Wake up to the sounds of surf and birds, play putt putt around the house, walk in the mornings along the beach. We stayed 2 weeks in October 07 and had our best holiday ever - fishing, sight seeing, swimming.

Fraser Island is just off the Queensland coast of Australia and only 3 1/2 hours drive north of Brisbane or flights can be arranged for you to fly in and land on the beach. Fraser Island has an abundance of freshwater perched and window lakes. Lake Boomanjin is the largest perched lake in the world covering some 200 hectares and has a shoreline of melaleuca trees.
