Grosvenor Cairns

My wife and I came to Cairns to stay for 2 nights and then go on to Port Douglas for 5 nights. Booked at the Grosvenor over the net (their website) - no problems - good price and the info on their website matched reality (which is not always the case). We cut short the stay in Port Douglas (small, noisy hotel room type room) and came back to Cairns (much more to do in and around Cairns). Our 1 bedroom apartment at Grosvenor was great- big, clean and comfortable (full kitchen and separate bedroom) but not expensive. The managers - Brian and Anne could not have been more helpful (even getting us a refund on our shortened stay in Port Douglas) and gave us plenty of advice and help in choosing & booking tours and what self drive day trips we could go on to save some money. We would definitely stay at Grosvenor in Cairns again - good location (just out of the noisy CBD) and a supermarket, a restaurant, a pub and some take away shops just around the corner.
