Island Gateway Holiday Park

For the price, my wife and I didn't have any expectations of Island Gateway "holiday park" being anything more than just another random caravan park. But wow! The staff were supurb. Friendly, outgoing, and raising the bar on hospitality professionalism. My wife and I do a lot of traveling and--the level of service we received at Island Gateway rivaled that of many four or five star hotels. The grounds and facilities were excellent. We were also impressed with their bird feeding which, as we learned, was specifically tailored to the birds natural needs. We will definitely make Island Gateway Holiday Park a must stop on our itinerary whenever we travel through the Whitsunday region of Australia again. (Date of experience: Apr, 2011 )
