My wife and I stayed at this hotel for a week for a wedding anniversary treat. Treat it most certainly was. Great location and comfortable room. We did actually stop in one of their top rooms, but no complaints. It is a small hotel, but don't let that put you off. They have a great restaurant that had a top quality French chef at the time and the quality of the meals was superb. High quality cuisine. There is a snug little bar too, that was comfortable and inviting and with a good range of ales. More than that, the staff were very pleasant and the owners went out of their way to ensure that guests and visitors were welcomed and enjoy their stay.
There is adequate parking and you are far enough from the main drag for peace and quiet that you'd expect from the edge of Bodmin Moor. The location of the hotel means that you are not far away from some of Cornwall's top attractions like Lanhydrock House, The Eden Project, Looe, Polperro, Mevagissey and Lost Gardens of Helligan to name but a few.
Suffice to say, we would definitely stay there again next time we visit the area.
