Lockwoods

Lockwoods is a gem! Great food, excellent service, and a brilliant atmosphere. There is a mix of traditional values alongside contemporary flair in everything they do. I had the Smoked Salmon and Shrimp Salad with Rocket, Red Onion, Cherry Tomatoes and Lemon Dressing and my wife had the Crisp Local Belly Pork with Sage and Onion Potatoes, Homemade Black Pudding and Buttered Spinach. Both were delicious. Generous but not too big portions and full of flavour with great presentation. We shared the Baked Yorkshire Rhubarb, Ginger Crumble and Mascarpone Cream for dessert, and were also very tempted by the selection of artisan cheeses at the next table to us! We were lucky to be there on one of Lockwoods Live Jazz evenings which made the whole event very memorable...we will be back.
