I have just arrived back from a 3 day break at the sunny town of port eynon ! . We are a big family so were very happy we could find a space on the campsite altogether there was myself my partner our 4 kids my uncle his one kid and my cousin and her partner and her three kids ( 3 tents 4 cars total of 147 pound of pitch fees) . When we arrived at carreglwyd campsite we were very impressed with the weather an the veiw of the gower coast .!!!
Then we met the owner from HELL !!!!!! As we got out of our cars we were given the once over by a very little rude pompus man who asked our name and where we were from and what we wanted ( 4 cars packed with camping gear never give the game away lol ) i was shocked at the way i was spoke to and thought about leaving then and there but the children were so full of beans we over looked his attitude BIG MISTAKE !! He then ordered everyone back in there cars an said he only wanted to talk to the person who booked the holiday and concidering there was three of us with seperate details i was very shocked . He then ordered us inside where we where giving a sheet of paper which explained the rules which is protocal i know , but he pulled me to one side to tell me to read it care fully and obey them because he dont take no messing around !! we were only there for 10 mins by this point mind !! We were then shown to a PITTIFULL excuse of a pitch !! it was on the biggest slope ever ! and it had a massive ditch in it , i paid 600 pound for my tent and it has a ground sheet attached if i would have put my tent where he told me i would have ripped the ground sheet off . We asked to go one row up where there was a lovley size space availible but were told it was booked !! so we set up our tents on a wonky pitch my cousin had the DITCH an i had the HILL my uncle was nearly on the road which had heavey traffic to the toilets . By now we were a tad PISSED off cause of what we had paid for and to top it off he sat with one of his fellow co workers on there quads an STARED AT US setting up our tents and as u can imagine is quite a stressfull situation without pompus man staring at us ! to add salt to the injury 15 mins into putting my tent up pompus man came and told me to move my tent so it was 3 meters away from the camper van next to me i had to unhook my tent pegs move my tent 11 inches to the left an start again which then put my tent over by the ditch so i could not use that side threw fear of ripping my ground sheet ! 4 hours after setting up the camper van which i had to move 11 inches away from moved to the space that we had originally asked for ! CAN IT GET ANY WORSE I HEAR YOU SAY the answer is YES ! after setting up our huge tents and endless trips back an fouth to our ever moving cars ( they were moved often as quad bike man number two said we were in the way of other campers !) the only person at this point who came past was elvis 2 co worker of pompas man on his quad an you could have got an artic lorry past (Date of experience: Apr, 2011 )

My partner was told to move the one car as u couldnt see the window sticker if we did not move it off site police would be called to move it , my ticket had slipped off the mirror he could still see it !! , we were all shattered an the kids went to bed by 8 an we all went in to bed by 9 the following morning we had the police up to tell us we made too much noise the night befor when we explained that we were in bed by 9 he said oh no not u personally but from this area , but the damage was done by this point we spent the day hid in our tent tellin all the children to hush an shut up our tents by 6 that evaning we were packed up an off site by 9 . 30 this morning !!! When we originally booked this holliday we checked the site and in big letters they had wrote FAMILY CAMPSITE our children were shouted at for playing with a frizbee we bought from there shop on site !! there is no park on site so what else was they supposed to do !! totally dissapointed with this campsie and will never visit there aga .
