Im sorry, but this is a disgrace.
There is barely any animals. Infact, the only ones I saw included some very tired looking wild horses, buffalos, camels (since when were they in the highlands?), a polar bear (not in the highlands either) and mokeys, a red panda and some weird, goat things (there was no sign to indicate what they were) and tigers. The overly anticipated "baby wildcat" was no where to be found, no matter how hard I looked. And a sign that said "are you afraid of the big bad wolf?" with a huge viewing area next to it was a dissapointment as no wolf was in sight. Infact, I had to politely tell a couple that they were taking pictures of a gray rock. As we headed off to see the lynx, my sister was very dissapointed to see there was also nothing to be seen inside this enclosure. Further dissapointment followed as we passed empty cages, straining our eyes to see if anything was in them. We eventually gave up after heading down to the beaver and otter dam, to see a large pile of empty sticks sitting on a small river with no animals in sight. I had previously seen Mercedes the polar bear at Edinburgh Zoo where he was in a large encloser with clear water, fresh grass, white rocks and plenty of fish. In this "wildlife park" he had mucky water, no rocks, I didnt see any food either. He was in a small area with grass and muddy water to drink. We were informed he was moved here as this was a more "suitable" home for him. Im no expert but I beg to differ, he was better off at Edingurgh Zoo in my eyes. At £44 for a family of 5, I would have expected more than driving round and looking at a few horses and lots of empty grass, then walking round looking, with dissapointment, into empty cages.
My advice would be, save your money and dont go there. You wouldnt want to, trust me. (Date of experience: Jul, 2010 )
