Tirconaill Lodge B&B

We stayed here recently after attending a friends wedding. On the morning of departure I answered a knock at the door to be met by what I can only describe as a verbal attack! She was extremely rude and unpleasant, screamed at me that we were 15 minutes late for check-out, and finished her rant with 'GET OUT NOW!' Needless to say I was so totally taken aback by this barage of abuse that I couldn't speak! My boyfriend was in the bathroom at the time but heard the raised voice & angry tone. We very quickly grabbed our bags to exit!!! I met the same 'lady' at the door & attempted to explain that we were not given a check out time when we arrived & there was no sign anywhere to inform us of this. She wasn't interested at all and proceeded to shout over any explanation, again stating that we were 15 mins late & that we should leave the property immediately! She pushed past me into the room & as we made our way down stairs, she came out onto the corridor to shout after us that we were not permitted food or drink in the rooms. We had noticed that were no tea & coffee making facilities in the room. We put the 2 empty bottles in the waste bin & didn't think this would be a problem. Again, we were not told this was a house rule & there were no signs to state otherwise. Hard as it may be to believe, but she continued to hurl abuse while she took payment from my credit card!!! I am a primary school teacher & my boyfriend owns his own business. We are both in our mid 30's, we caused no trouble or damage during our stay & neither of us appreciated being spoken to in this totally unacceptable & degrading manner! We left this place very upset and physically shaken, feeling as if we had committed some serious offense rather than over staying our welcome by 15 minutes!!! We had planned to spend the day in the Enniskillen / Fermanagh area but were so unsettled & upset by this experience that we decided to go home.
