Premium Tour-24475-Windsor Castle-Stonehenge-Lacock&Bath-23rd September 2010.
Our Guide was unfotunately--aloof to some members of the tour& friendly with others depending where you came from.In Bath when I inquired if we were to see the Royal Crescent he replied-'No-but it is a 20minute walk & you can run back because we leave in exactly 30mins'-and started walking away!When I called out after him-'I am a Jane Austen fan how can you bring one to Bath&not show that?'He replied-'You are being rude&offensive-stop shouting--next time take a private tour!'Seeing my distress-my family--hired 3 cabs& we went to see the Royal Crescent & we were back in time.The Guide was visibly surprised and said -'Now the lady is happy'--but they may not have any money left for dinner!'--and that had been his attitude to my family all along--extremely colonial.David is actually a very good guide with lots of intersesting information-he seems to be getting very good reviews --but nearly all from the USA-if ONLY he was impartial in his behaviour--he would be an amazing to be around.
So,next time we will book a private tour--but sadly not with Premium ToursLater we did other places in UK&Scotland with EvanEvans&Highland Tours and those were very very different-&delightful tours. (Date of experience: Sep, 2010 )
