Our one-bedroom ground floor apartment was clean and the king-sized bed very comfortable. The patio area was not conducive to sitting out, as it was only very narrow and situated directly behind a garden-bed containing above-head-height bushes. These bushes also made the apartment very dark and dim-looking, even when the sun was shining. Other apartments may be better situated, but it would be worthwhile asking this at the time of booking.
A television in the living area of the apartment had to be operated manually, as the remote did not work. A television in the bedroom did not work at all. After reporting it to reception on the Friday, it was eventually fixed on Sunday.
The indoor/outdoor (combined) "heated" swimming pool was freezing. The spa was "closed for cleaning" the whole weekend. Little wonder that nobody took advantage of the pool area the whole weekend.
Reception and restaurant staff were all very friendly, although I did have to smile when I overhead one of the young girls on reception asking some guests "are youse okay?". Not something you hear in many 5-star resorts around the world.
All-in-all, I think perhaps 3.5 stars would be more accurate, in light of the lack of facilities.
