This is an occasional venue for a daily walk. I usually park at the most obvious place by the water, but there are entrances all around the park in surrounding streets.
I met the ranger for the first time, and he was very informative and friendly.
The walk around the perimeter is about a couple of miles, and there is plenty to see. Some rare species have been seen and I saw a Glaucous Gull. I have seen other species as well as the perennial Mallards, and indigenous Black Headed Gulls.
An enjoyable way to spend an hour or two, and this was well before the spring flowers arrive. (Date of experience: Jan, 2010 )
