Kirra Beach Tourist Park

29/04/2009 - The Duty manager contacted us by phone on the way to this park to inform us he forgot to tell us about a $15 cleaning fee on top of the quoted price (which was already over priced). We arrived to a dull, stuffy and ill-equipped "lodging room" with an uncomfortable double bed. The bar fridge was on its last legs and the freezer section did not freeze items. The communal kitchen did not have water or a power point - but then, there was no kettle to boil anyway. After being told the next day that the park was good value and competitively priced, we did get a refund for the next nights booking without a hassle. We spent the next night in a full cabin at great rates, fully self contained and on the Tweed river. We wont be back to the Kirra Tourist Park.
