Mecure Capricorn Resort Yeppoon

My wife and 3 children stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment for $237/night. We were very disappointed with our room as it was no where near as good as the pictures made out on the website. The resort was built in the 1970's and the rooms are showing their age. Our room had a mouldy smell coming through the airconditioning vent which you could not turn off. Our door was covered in condensation that was dripping onto the floor of our room making the tiled entrance very slippery. The bathroom was poorly ventilated with no exhaust fan, leving it wet and smelly. The pool area was fantastic and the kids had a ball. The food and drinks were extremely expensive at the resort - $5.50 for a can of xxxxGold! I will not be coming back to this resort ever again and would NOT recommend it to others looking for a hard earned family holiday. (Date of experience: Mar, 2010 )
