After seeing the outside of the Seahorse World from the road several times, we decided to go in and look. After paying approx. $20 each, I noticed a sign NO photos. Oh well, I wasnt happy with that, as taking photos is my hobby. There were a few pretty tanks, and lots of nursery tanks, but not a lot more. For children, there's a nice touch tank, where they can pick things up. However we were out again within the half hour. My opinion is that it was way over priced for what we got. I'm a repeat customer for wildlife parks, at similar prices, where I can stay for hours and take photos to my heart's content, but this place won't be seeing me again.

As the new manager of Seahorse World I would like to respond to a few of the comments made. Firstly, I'm sorry that your experience wasn't what we would like it to be for you. I'm not sure how long ago the post was made but we have a very high satisfaction rating by the great majority of our visitors and certainly in the last year many things have changed. Photography for example is now permitted throughout the tour and has been allowed in the farm area for quite some time. We have also added many new display tanks including giant Tasmanian crabs, crayfish, a new jellyfish tank, sharks and others. Our tour of the working seahorse farm has also been enhanced through more information on the rearing of seahorses. Tours easily take up to an hour these days and people are normally fascinated by the farming process and the other unique animals we have on display. We are excited by many other plans to continue updating our display over the next year or so and we would love to see you back to take photos to your hearts content.
