Holmlea Guest House

This place hasn't much in the way of friendliness. I stayed in a room with hardly any space and it wasn't particularly clean. I was disappointed because the photos made it look nice. Nobody was at the guest house except the cleaner. Whenever I needed something, there was nobody around to help. The breakfast was just a crossant and some yoghurt which was left outside my room. The owners say that they leave it outside so that they don't disturb you but there is lots of noise really early in the mornings. Lots of shouting and screaming from the young children so I was tired every day. The bathroom was nice and clean but I didn't like the mouldy walls. I think the price is a bit high considering you don't have a nice room or a nice breakfast. I've been to much nicer guest houses in York and I won't be coming back to this one.
