This bush camp is good but has the potential to be much much more. It would be good to go back in the future and see how it has changed. In general it was an interesting place to stay... we had to travel down a dirt road out in the middle of nowhere to be greeted at the front gate by a toothless guy with a chainsaw... freaked us out but was a great laugh... then drove through a little shanti tent town which looked liked something off the set of MASH. Tents or dorms with makeshift beds and reasonable linen are provided. Bring loads of insect repellent as the place is infested with mosquitoes (oh and cane toads) but the owners do their best to ensure your comfort by providing smoke coils, which I swear my friend got high on. Air fresheners are a must if staying in the dorms due to the musty carpet and sweaty backpacker smell. Expect cold showers and the toilet is a hole in the ground... to be expected in a $10 bush camp. A communal kitchen is provided and it would be clean if everyone cleaned up after themselves. We woke up to make breakfast to find the kitchen in a massive mess from some lazy backpackers. This is a place to forget creature comforts, expect late and loud nights (backpackers partying and music), everything is self service but facilities are in place to make this easier. Go there expecting the worst and you'll be nicely surprised because of the genuine charm and character about the place. I recommend staying there purely because the place has a certain serenity to it... the staff were really relaxed and sociable... but I advise not getting too close to them as it is a backpackers haven.
