Winter Escape

This was my first trip to the snows in Australia. We were only there for a weekend but the house provided everything we needed - fully furnished, except for the wanted fireplace.

3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms provided the group with enough space, and the kitchen was home to many warm meals.
The location was a little far from the actual snow fields, but was in the center of Jindabyne - so easy access to snow gear.

The balcony and house in general provided a great view of the lake and the little village our group had escaped to. Would definitely come back for the next annual snow trip. (Date of experience: Jun, 2010 )

Additional InfoJindabyne, the perfect base for visitors to the Snowy Mountains' winter wonderland of snowboarding and skiing, is around half-an-hour from Perisher Blue and Thredbo. Naturally, the town comes alive during the colder months, when visitors take advantage of ski hire, a variety of places to eat, a contemporary cinema showing up-to-the-minute films and a range of accommodation from caravan parks through to fully-serviced resorts. In summer you can enjoy water-skiing, mountain biking and the lush green landscape that comes into full bloom with the warmer weather.
