Of course I understand that you can't control the fish (which not one of the 15 people on this overcrowded charter managed to hook), a little bit of customer service goes a long way.
Alarm bells were ringing when we boarded at 5:30am, and one of the blokes said "there's tea and coffee here, but there's not 15 cups, so you'll have to share"... C'mon guys, if there's a booking for 15 people, surely you can scrounge up a couple of plastic cups so we don't have to share a cuppa?
For the remainder of the time, the deckies chatted whole-heartedly with each other about where they went last night, and how many awesome fish they caught LAST WEEK, etc.
They kept the boat nice and clean, by dousing the boat, (and everyone's open drinks) with saltwater every time we brought the lines in - I suppose that is a good thing. Although it would've been really great to have toilet paper in the loo...
Breakfast was *ok*, but the 3-day old prawns they slapped out with funky tartare sauce were a bit sketchy, and not at all appetising (not sure if they got the tucker box mixed up with the bait box) - lucky that the deckies saw fit to tuck in and help themselves while the rest of the punters didn't risk it.
Maybe it would've been ok if we brought along a couple of cartons of beer to wash away the morning, but I suppose when you cough up $140 a head you think you might get something for it. Suprised they didn't even offer drinks for sale.
Wouldn't recommend this mob. Check out other fishing charters before you bother with these guys. (Date of experience: Jul, 2011 )
