Tolmie Tavern

The Tolmie Tavern's catch cry is Where Nothing Ever Happens. This maybe the case but the night my wife and I went there for tea on our way through, it will always be a night to remember. So much so that we bought a property in the area. The hosts Ron and Robin make every visitor feel like they are part of the family. The beer is COLD!!! The wine selection is good (plenty of local King Valley varieties) and the food is Old Fashion Country Cooking at its BEST... I recommend the Rib Eye it is one serious piece of meat cooked to perfection with either salad or vegetables it is a feast to behold. The Chicken Parmigiana is second to none and I have eaten my fair share around Australia. This is one place that every visitor to the Victorian High Country should put on their itinerary.
