White Lanterns Motel

I work on the road, and stay in many hotels. I checked into this one and was forced to play with the owners dog. Cute, but unprofessional. The room was clean enough, if not a little run down. The Foxtel consisted of three channels of the same CNN channel, and two sports channels, and only half the free to air channels. Then, around 1130 I felt something biting me. On a quick glance I saw 4 large bed bugs (initially I thought they were ticks, but I now know they are bed bugs) I went to reception and pressed the bell to inform the owners of this and was launched at with a tirade of abuse from a "permanent resident" swearing at me for wanting to wake the owners up, and accusing me of being the cause of the bugs due to my long hair, and telling me to deal with it. When the owner finally came to the door she seemed to not care at all, telling me to not worry, and we'll deal with it in the morning. She wouldn't even come into the room to see the bugs, I had to bring the blanket out to her. I told her it was not good enough and she said "well go somewhere else, Surfers Paradise is open 24 hours". I then had to convince her to go and get my refund, which she reluctantly brought to me after a short wait. Really poor service, really poor room, really poor motel. You get what you pay for, and I still think they charge too much!
