by TotalTraveller4029688256 (prior to 01/07/2010) As a GROUP TOURSymbolism abounds. Flowers...yellow and green lantana...red roses representing the blood of those lost. Seagulls...during dedication of the site seagulls flew over...designer incorporated 645 seagulls into the dome to represent each of the lives lost. 7 pillars holding up the dome to represent the 7 states and territories of Aust. Upside down propeller...ship lost at sea.
