We are a young family and stayed here for 4 nights, just wanted to escape for a couple of days and enjoy our first holiday as a family & time together. When we arrived we were put into a dirty uncleaned family cottage which was disgusting then upgraded to an apartment which was also not cleaned, this was a disappointing start of our family holiday as we just wanted to unwind and relax. We were then upgraded again to a 2 Bedroom resort villa which was better then the previous two we were put in but needed to be cleaned properly also. The pool was great, very big and roomy, the beach was awesome klms to walk, the location was ok but not much to do for young kids only to go to the beach or drive into Foster for the day!! The restaurant was not that great in food quality and overpriced, the staff were friendly and nice overall. In our two bedroom resort villa it needed an update and better cleaning service. The lounges were very uncomfortable, stained and not alot of room to lay down and watch tv, The lounge room floorboards were badly scratched and needed tlc. In the kitchen there was no real microwave or oven only one of those cheap microwave/oven in one. In the bathrooms there was a fair bit of on walls, sinks and in the showers. We asked for a cot for our stay for our young toddler and they gave us a port-a-cot, not that great for toddlers they can nearly climb out it. In the bedrooms the blinds had all mould over them and fans were rusty carpet was badly dirty & stained, air-con vents were very dusty, and the bbq was dirty. Internet is only available at the restaurant/reception NOT in your room. Foxtel again had to pay even though it said inhouse foxtel. Overall it's not a very good holiday destination for families with young kids especially when raining maybe just for couples you would be better off staying in Foster somewhere local to everything. In the future we will not be coming back again and will not recommend it to friends and family. (Date of experience: Oct, 2011 )
