We stayed one night only in late 2008 en route to Hinchinbrook Island. We wished we could have stayed longer.
This is no mere stopover point - if you go, stay several nights or even a week & soak up the beautiful, peaceful & calming environment masterfully created & constructed by owner Ken.
Built in a design of yesteryear, but with all the comforts of modern day.
Relax by the pool & soak up the sun, whilst you enjoy a drink from the well stocked & very agreeably priced bar, which runs on an honour system.
The only sounds you'll hear are from the local birdlife. Be amused by the scampering of the lizards & geckos as they chase down an errant insect.
Our hosts Bev & son Julian could not have made us more welcome & comfortable.
Do yourself a favour when next in Cardwell - stay at Mudbrick Manor. We'll certainly be back in 2009.
