Fountaindale Grand Manor

Fusty damp room with ceiling falling in, mould in bathroom - told that the wiring wouldn't cope so no heaters in rooms. Cranky old shower, no bath, had to crawl under bed to retrieve multi-plug to replug in electric blankets which only worked on one setting and the cord got dangerously hot. Found a clot of hair and fluff in bed when I folded back the sheets. Yuk! Ironing board was the only flat surface in room, but no iron; no hairdryer, no TV. Had to sit elec kettle on floor to reach plug. They shut reception and bar earlier than advertised - shift changes we were told. I helped child-guests with Easter egg hunt in lounge on Sunday morning - floors filthy under & behind sofas. Ceiling paint peeling in dining room & flakes dropping off! This place was recommended by info centre so we booked and paid in advance, trusting them (ha!) but wouldn't have stayed otherwise! V expensive too - should be rated 2 stars or less.
