It is strange how things happen. As I read this review I had just finished checking out a guest who had a 5 night stay with us who had written the loveliest thank you letter, expressing their complete satisfaction.
As all business owners would know, it is always the intention to ensure that the guest is happy. In this case we offered the guest another room and a rebate on their tariff without hesitation, both of which they accepted.
This guest is easy to identify as this is the only "complaint" we have received, since we commenced a major refurbishment of our recently purchased property.
We are a little taken aback that the suggestion was made that our website is misleading as the furnishings shown on the website, both bedding and lounge furnishings are the actual furnishings in the rooms in question, along with the newly fitted kitchens with stainless steel appliances.
It is our policy that we clean our rooms to a standard not a timeframe and sometimes we have to apologise on check-in to guests that we are not quite ready, simply because we have taken extra time to prepare the rooms to our standard. Our bed linen is white percale, with all sheets ironed, our towels also white, soft & fluffy. We did explain that we had recently had a flood on the east coast and that the water quality & colour was poor, something that we have no control over.
Our occupancy rate is high & constantly increasing, we have a high rate of return visitors, and word of mouth referrals to our business are testament to our excellent location and the friendly service of which we are proud.
The location is indeed special, there are not many places where you just stroll across the lawn onto the sand and are able to enjoy stunning views across the beach, sunsets & sunrises that take your breath away, something that cannot be denied.
