I first took my two children to the Anchorage Caravan Park when they were 9 and 10 years old. We camped on an unpowered site and had a wonderful time. The owners and staff were friendly and all ammenities were clean and well presented. My children are now 20 and 21 and we continue to stay at Anchorage as we have found it to be a great family oriented park. Each time any of us stay there we meet others who have been regular visitors over the years.
On seperate occasions we have stayed in cabins, backpackers rooms, as well as camping on powered and unpowered sites. On each occasion we had found everything to our satisfaction, especially the staff.
There have been occasions where some of the rooms/cabins have had a slight stuffy smell, but this is to be expected during the off peak times when they are not in regular use. Other than this, we have always had an enjoyable, and pleasant, experience. In fact I am planning to go back there again in two weeks with a friend for a cheap, yet relaxing and enjoyable, weekend away. (Date of experience: Aug, 2011 )
