Sofitel Brisbane Central

Perfectly positioned for business and leisure the Sofitel Brisbane is located directly above Central Station. Dont let this position be of any concern, it is completely isolated from noise with all trains arriving underground. Being elevated views are commanding but not exactly spectacular. There are though few such hotels in Brisbane given the natural geography and council building height restrictions. The rooms are reasonably well appointed although not in the Sofitel league of say Paris, or even the first Australian Sofitel, at the Reef Casino Cairns. The attention to detail may also be lacking in comparison to some of the other properties displaying the Sofitel brand. Concierge and reception seem to be of the relaxed Brisbane style rather then that expected. That said, the location is ideal for exploring or meetings. Being a tropical city it is better to be out of the lodgings in any case.
