Woodstock Manor is suitable for people wanting to work to get to their next destination. This very small 4 street town has little to offer in the way of entertainment apart from the stock standard 2 pubs. Highly recommend your own vehicle as it is nice to be able to get out of the confined space on your days off.. Also, a good thick blanket is recommended to sleep on as the plywood sheet and thin mattress provides little comfort after hours of bending in ways you didnt know you could. Generally speaking you will get work, although the amount, the quality and the pay rate vary vastly with the more experienced and longer serving members getting the best jobs offered to them first. Not recommended for any long period of time as you will find insanity sets in quickly. Short, hard working burst is the perfect attitude to have. And remember, Aussies don't do these jobs because they don't get paid enough to be put through this kind of torture :) RECOMMEND SPRING/AUTUMN as summer is incredibly hot and winter, torturously cold!! Suggest arriving with provisions to last a while as the one shop in town is suitably over priced.
