Think twice before you get drunk on the plane, or you might end up duct taped into submission.

Gudmundur Karl Arthorsson, 46, from Iceland must have been so excited about flying to New York to visit his fiancé - he hurriedly drank all of his duty free liquor on the flight to JFK on Friday.
Relatives told the New York Post that Mr Arthorrson's behavior was out of character.
“He isn’t a violent person. This was not normal behaviour for him. I hope he is OK,” a relative told the Post.
An online blogger Mezane told the New York Post Mr Arthorsson “drank an entire bottle of some duty free alcohol…two hours into a six hour flight.”
Arthorsson then started accosting several passengers, reported the New York Post.
According to New York businessman and author Andy Ellwood, “when he became unruly, (i.e. trying to choke the woman next to him and screaming the plane was going to crash), fellow passengers subdued him and tied him up for the rest of the flight.”
Two passengers and an off-duty captain then allegedly restrained Mr Arthorsson, pinning him to his seat while Icelandair’s flight crew wrapped him in duct tape and plastic ties – gagging him for good measure.Police then escorted him off the plane upon arrival in New York.
Mr Arthorsson was admitted to a hospital in Queens New York, where he was treated for alcohol poisoning.

There are no excuses for getting drunk and behave badly. This said, having no alcohol on a plane should be a law. Alcohol bought at the airport should be given to you at arrival only. Basicly they sell you alcohol, make good money... then tied you up ....something is not right....tied up like that this guy could have died...
ReplyThis is done every so often by the flight crew, restrain them cable ties and or handcuffs the law is only the Police on the ground can untie them and undo Handcuffs, wrap them in a blanket, leave them there vomiting , #$%$ , etc, in the blanket, easy peasy. On the ground comes a stretcher and a fork lift , and Bingo, first class rfree ride in your own Blue Light taxi to your own Secure motel for many years,no cooking wahining cleaning, your own remote control for your own TV, free medicals teeth, glasses, medicine, etc etc, Come out get a ticket on another aircraft, customs , see you have a coinviction, dont worry the next plane back will take you home in an Hour.
