If you're wondering where to avoid on your next overseas trip, take a look at the results of the latest TripAdvisor Cities Survey - revealing the rudest locals, dirtiest streets and worst shopping.

Singapore also received a number of gongs, including second place best taxi services, second place cleanest streets, and third place for the friendliest taxi drivers.
New York City was ranked the top city for shopping, although travellers felt the city streets could use a bit of a sweep - scoring it 28 out of 40 for cleanliness
Moscow took a bit of a beating, coming is as having the least friendly locals, the least friendly taxi drivers and worst shopping.
No Australian cities featured on the list.
The results were compiled based on more than 75,000 responses to a survey sent to those who have recently written TripAdvisor reviews on the featured cities.

Venice very touristy but another wonderful Italian city. However Venice, people there prefer to be known as venitians. I loved Venice Glassware fantastice Buruno and Murano Islands wonderful. Expensive yes watch where you buy when in side streets. Not all glassware is Venitian they will say they are but in actual fact fakes. Genuine glassware is when its imprinted. Also include Amsterdam on your trip, another fav city of mine.. Enjoy wherever you go and get involved .
ReplyI also found Rome - Italy - a brillaint place of history because of its beautiful old buildings. If any one wants to see history as it was Rome and many other beautiful cities in Rome Milan - Venice - Florence- and so much more Italy is a Gem. People very friendly and helpful ( of course depends on who you ask) Yes we have the odd pick pocket - but so does London and France what country doesn't have them.
