New Caledonia is where the French Riviera meets the South Pacific. It is the 3rd largest Island in the South Pacific region and is surrounded by the world’s largest lagoon. Parc Forestier nature reserve is also well worth a visit with loads of flora and fauna, including the Cagou, New Caledonia’s flightless bird.

Another attraction is the Nouméa Aquarium, with ancient creatures from the deep.
