I've been on heaps of airlines, but I must say my favourite is Virgin Australia and V Australia. The food coming back from USA was really nice (Salmon). I love their in flight entertainment (RED). Staff is great and attentive too. Within the USA we traveled on Virgin America, Delta Airlines and United Airlines and all were great. To Europe we've traveled with Emirates which was good, but I absolutely hated Dubai Airport. It was full of people sleeping all over the floor and you had to step over everyone! It felt dirty and the toilets were holes in the floor! YUK! However, on our second trip, the new exclusive Emirates terminal had opened and this was great. Incidentally, we had a 17 hr delay in Dubai, and Emirates gave us accommodation and 3 meals for our group of 8. We were impressed and really liked Dubai so much, we will schedule a few days there next time!

Travelled a bit with emirates, still think they are very good, food and drinks were great. Then air canada have always had good flights with them. Last year did Virgin to the US, overall not bad, but cutting off the drinks a couple of hours out of LA was a bit rude. I have no idea why Qantas is ranked there, worst airline rates with Iraq air for me( if yu haven't flown with Iraq air try it!). Most travel cattle class and thats where the refinemetns should be not in the upper echelon front end of the plane. Most planes carry more cattle class than business class. You want repeat business and recommendations, give more legroom, have soft and sleeepable seats. Don't scrimp on the meals and drinks. You airline execs ,Treat prospective customers as you would expect to be treated and not as the poor cousins that you have to put up with from time to time.

I've just travelled with Emirates and the flight wasn't that great and seats were uncomfortable. Meals were ordinary. Qantas have improved in last 6 months. There something different about the service. In my opinion Qantas Business class should be rated best in the world. Good on you Qantas! Keep up the good work!

Why is it that airlines will always advertise how good their First Class and Business classes are, and how many awards they get for these classes, but none will ever say anything about the CATTLE CLASS (ecomomy class), and the #$%$ they serve called meals, and the unfriendly staff that dish out the service in this cattle class. We pay good money to travel with these airlines, so I am sure some consideration should be shown instead of dereasing the meal sizes and quality, seats being made smaller and cramped, and only the cheap and nasty brand of drinks served in Cattle Class... I guess the humble person who travels in Cattle Class does not carry the same snooty/snobby prestige as the scumbags who travel in first and business classes.

Every year I fly from Perth West Australia, to Frankfurt Germany on holidays, and love flying with Lufthansa Singapore to Frankfurt, the planes are fresh and clean, the staff in economy are very good and helpful, the meals are enjoyable. I enjoyed flying the 747 as they were comfortable, and reasonably quiet in the cabin, but have a big dislike for the A380, they are so noisy in the cabin especially if you are near the toilets. Lufthansa you have my number one vote anytime. Singapore airlines are also quite good, and staff are polite. But as long as my bum points to the ground I will NEVER fly Emirates. The economy is better called Cattle Class with this airlines. Food is utter #$%$ that is if they have any of the 2 main choices left otherwise you get vegetable or chicken wraps. Seats uncomfortable, staff in Cattle class not interested in complaints and unfriendly. Qantas cabin staff so far up themselves, so no time to be friendly to people in Cattle class. Food is Utter #$%$ and a waste of good raw materials to churn out the #$%$ actually Qantas food is GHASTLY in cattle class.

Singapore Yes Yes. Emirates, Yes. Quantas, if you like the rough drunken behaviour, go for it. That only the Attendants, Virgin No Way

Singapore Airlines head and shoulders above the rest, I agree ... awesome in all aspects, every time we fly with them ...

I have been a GT for the last 5 years and have flown most Airlines. I have consecutively qualified for the last 5 years as a Qantas platinum and PPS for SIA. Well done SIA! I am so glad to hear SIA has been voted the best airline as they are. Qantas need to hire their airlines staff on contract as they are getting too long in the tooth and don’t know how to smile anymore. I think Etihad will be there next year. Most Airline lounges are shocking unless you are in the Airlines home territory. The food is terribly if you are a frequent flyer. Best business class is BA, far from it. another grumpy bunch of people and you get to sit backwards if your unlucky.
