When I travel, a hotel is a place to sleep. I don't expect a resort experience. I have been to 7 of the 10 'worst' cities in the past 2 years and have been satisfied with my hotel in all.

This article can not be taken serious. The best hotels in the world are in Dubai, Singapore, Hongkong and Bangkok. But also in cities like New York, London, Paris and Frankfurt you find absolute top quality hotels. My experience from 50 years of traveling the world.

I agree with the 10 worst, we had to go to the country in the UK before we experienced true English hospitality in a B&B, London hotel was run by pakies and arabs and the service and cost was woful...same goes for Amsterdam and Paris, go to the city for the day and stay 1 hour or so out..

I think putting London last is a bit harsh... surely there are worse places to stay.
